Andrea Almond Portfolio

After receiving a BFA at the University of North Texas, Andrea pursued a career in Interior Design.  In the early 1990’s she revisited painting and began a series of classes and workshops.  This resulted in a renewed interest in art, in particular oil painting.  She began selling her work and participated in a two-person show in 2003.

Throughout her travels in the United States, especially New Orleans, Andrea is drawn to cityscapes.  A trip to France in 2003 resulted in a series of Paris paintings.  Capturing light and reflections are the most compelling aspects of her work, along with a vibrant color palette.

Working from life, sketches, and photographs, Andrea creates intimate paintings that evoke the mystery of everyday life.
