“My artwork is a journey of discovery into the relationship of shape and color.  I was formerly a dancer and choreographer and so a sense of motion pervades my work.  In order to achieve rich surfaces, I build up the texture, layer upon layer.  Especially in my smaller work, I strive to achieve a greater sense of intimacy by engaging the viewer into the details on the canvas or paper.” –Leah Goren

Award winning artist, Leah Goren, is known for her highly textured works in abstract expressionism.  She has a unique ability to compose and present her work in a delightful and eye catching way. 

Leah obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and did post graduate studies at the Atlanta School of Fine Art and at Southern Methodist University. 

Ms. Goren has had nine solo exhibitions and has participated in ten group shows.  She has also participated in nine juried exhibitions where she has won several awards.  Leah’s work can be found in numerous corporate and personal collections from coast to coast.  Locally, some of her expressions are at Post Properties, Country Clubs of America, W.R. Grace & Co., Ensearch Company, Harris Methodist Hospital, and Chase Bank of Texas.
