Hilda Hiary, our artist from Jordan, has been invited to attend and exhibit her award winning video, "Tarabish" at the International Festival of Puebla, Mexico. The Minister of Culture of the State of Puebla, Mexico confirmed that she and other Middle East artists will be in attendance in late October, 2007. "Tarabish" received the top award for "Video Art" at the 2006 Cairo Biennale.

Fairmount Gallery's Hilda Hiary was awarded First Place in "Video Art" at the 2006 Cairo Biennale. She won a $5,000. prize for her video "Tarabish". We congratulate Hilda for her superior work.
Gallery Owner and Director, G. L. Sheehan, has been invited to attend the 2006 Cairo Biennale, December 10 through 18th. Hilda Hiary, one of the Fairmount Gallery's international artists has made all the arrangements for him to attend. He will be meeting with the Director of the Cairo Biennale and with other dignitaries while there. Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt, will speak at the opening ceremonies of the event. Mr. Sheehan will then go to Amman, Jordan to meet Jordanian artists and to see the local galleries there.
